McLean Hamlet is a welcoming community of 507 homes, built between 1965 and 1995. Located just minutes from Washington, D.C. in the heart of Tysons Corner, our neighborhood offers the perfect blend of serenity, charm, and urban convenience. With residents from over 30 different countries, The Hamlet is both diverse and inclusive.
Residents live on spacious lots (⅓ to ⅔ acre), offering privacy and green scenery. Though architectural styles vary, similar designs are grouped throughout the Hamlet—striking the ideal balance of diversity and harmony.
Wide, Safe Streets – Broad roads with no through traffic make walking, biking, and casual play both safe and pleasant.
Extensive Sidewalk Network – Walk, jog, or ride safely throughout the neighborhood—perfect for families and fitness enthusiasts.
Two Scenic Parks
Falstaff Park offers a playground and gazebo nestled among shady trees.
McLean Hamlet Park provides open space suitable for pickup soccer games and trails linking to the pool.
The Hamlet Swim and Tennis Club – A residents-first pool and four tennis courts located at the end of Dunsinane Ct. Residents receive priority on the waiting list.
Underground Utilities & Street Lighting – This design preserves mature landscaping and allows for peaceful evening walks with uniform lighting across the neighborhood.
Superior Location – Just minutes from the Silver Line's McLean and Tysons Metro stations, commuting is easy—without sacrificing neighborhood tranquility.
Excellent Schools – Served by some of Fairfax County's—and the country's—most highly rated public schools.

McLean Hamlet is more than tree-lined streets, it’s a community shaped by traditions. As The Washington Post noted, Shakespeare-inspired street names like Oberon Way and Capulet Court are just the beginning of what makes the Hamlet so charming. These names reflect our creative heritage, but our community spirit, like lighting thousands of luminaries on December 24th, is what brings us together.
Life in McLean Hamlet is enriched by traditions and events that bring neighbors together year after year. From the Halloween Parade and Fall Picnic to Luminary Night and the Easter Egg Hunt, these gatherings create opportunities to celebrate, connect, and strengthen our sense of community.

Through MHCA, residents actively engage with Fairfax County on issues like traffic safety, power reliability, and Tysons development. This advocacy ensures that The Hamlet’s voice is heard and our quality of life is protected.
