Our Neighborhood

McLean Hamlet is a welcoming community of 507 homes, built between 1965 and 1995. Located just minutes from Washington, D.C. in the heart of Tysons Corner, our neighborhood offers the perfect blend of serenity, charm, and urban convenience. With residents from over 30 different countries, The Hamlet is both diverse and inclusive.

Residents live on spacious lots (⅓ to ⅔ acre), offering privacy and green scenery. Though architectural styles vary, similar designs are grouped throughout the Hamlet—striking the ideal balance of diversity and harmony.

Distinctive Features

• Wide, Safe Streets – Broad roads with no through traffic make walking, biking, and casual play both safe and pleasant.

As The Washington Post noted, Shakespeare-inspired street names like Oberon Way and Capulet Court are just the beginning of what makes the Hamlet so charming. These names reflect our creative heritage, but our community spirit, like lighting thousands of luminaries on December 24th, is what brings us together.

Advocacy & Stewardship

Through MHCA, residents actively engage with Fairfax County on issues like traffic safety, power reliability, and Tysons development. This advocacy ensures that The Hamlet’s voice is heard and our quality of life is protected.
